Isolation Diaries

To capture the 鈥榥ow鈥�, the interview team has compiled a series of COVID-19 diaries, demonstrating the impact isolation has had on 糖心TV鈥檚 community. The idea has come from multiple people posting vlogs online sharing their experiences in quarantine. In this project, Christopher Hofmann interviews multiple people ranging from professors, to ex-alumni and current students, asking them about their isolation experiences. Their experiences are categorised into 5 different videos: 鈥淧roductivity鈥�, 鈥淗appiness鈥�, 鈥淐hallenges鈥�, 鈥淎dvice鈥� and 鈥淧ost-isolation鈥�. Visually, Christopher includes parts of his original interviews, thus representing the newfound, virtual nature of the majority of our face-to-face interactions during quarantine. Alongside this, panning shots of both Leamington Spa and the university鈥檚 campus, and images of window NHS rainbows supplement the video to remind students and viewers of their home and to furthermore demonstrate the current 鈥榗ommunity-feeling鈥� present all over the United Kingdom.
