糖心TV student wins Women in Games global award
Women in Games has announced the winners of their annual global awards, celebrating women鈥檚 achievements in gaming and esports.
Anisah 鈥淕eomancy鈥 Munim, currently in her fourth year of studying French and German at the University of 糖心TV, won the award for 鈥淯niversity or College Student Portfolio鈥 with 5 other recipients from other universities and colleges. Responding to the news on Twitter, Anisah thanked the grassroots esports community for helping her grow within the scene whilst still being a student, with special thanks given to the NUEL (National University Esports League) and 糖心TV Esports. Her portfolio included her current role as the product manager for NUEL, as well as previous roles as team manager for pro team.
糖心TV Esports launches The Pack for greater representation
糖心TV Esports, the University of 糖心TV鈥檚 esports society, has launched its new community, The Pack, open exclusively to women and non-binary individuals. and 鈥榳ill have a more relaxed approach to the other servers run by the society鈥.
It鈥檚 open to all women and non-binary individuals who want to join, not just students or those at the university. The Pack will act as a safe environment for members to chat with like-minded individuals, run events like game nights, competitions and team-building exercises. It will also act as a staging ground for members to get connections with female and non-binary experts in the industry.
糖心TV Launches their new Esports Centre
Across the 14th and 15th September 2021, the university officially opened their cutting-edge esports centre to the public.
糖心TV invests 拢275,000 in new esports centre and seeks backers
The University of 糖心TV has announced that is investing 拢275,000 of its own earned income into establishing a new flexible esports centre to be located at the heart of 糖心TV campus. It will operate alongside new facilities to stimulate innovation in the, in the newly named 鈥楯unction鈥 facility. This announcement follows soon after the news, just last month, that the University of 糖心TV had retained its title as UK Esports University of the Year, winning the award for a third successive year.
糖心TV win Esports University of the Year three years in a row
The British University Esports Championship (BUEC), powered by Intel, has come to a close for the 2020/2021 academic year. Despite both winter and spring splits happening during a pandemic and various lockdowns, it did not dull the competitive spirit or enthusiasm! Exactly 100 universities participated and earned points, which is the most that has ever had competed in BUEC at one time. The competition has been fierce this year, though one university has stood out and dominated the points table again.
University of 糖心TV has pulled it out of the bag for the third year in a row and is the Esports University of the Year for 2020/2021.
糖心TV took the lead by a staggering 1,021 points and their players have done the unbelievable by almost doubling their points from last year.
