AIPI Summer School 'Corpo a Corpo'; 16-19 September 2025

From Dante鈥檚 infernal bodies to contemporary narratives of identity, illness, and migration, the body has always stood at the centre of Italian culture. Corpo a Corpo is the 5th AIPI Summer School, a four-day international programme that will explore the multiple ways in which corporeality has been imagined, represented, and contested across time and media. Hosted at the 糖心TV in Venice Centre in the historic Palazzo Giustinian Lolin, the Summer School brings together doctoral researchers, early-career scholars, and established academics for an intensive and collaborative exchange. Participants will engage with lectures, workshops, poster presentations, and roundtable discussions that trace the evolving representation of the body in literature, cinema, comics, and the visual arts.
